MR. JOHN GOKONGWEI, JR.

Mr. John Gokongwei, Jr., is the founder of JG Summit Holdings, Inc. (JGSHI) and Chairman Emeritus effective January 1, 2002. He had been Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of JGSHI until his retirement and resignation from this position effective December 31, 2001.

He continues to be a member of the Board of Directors of JGSHI and certain of its subsidiaries and as of 2004, is one of only 7 Billionaires in the Philippines. He also continues to be a member of the Executive Committee of JGSHI and is Chairman Emeritus of of JG Summit Holdings, Inc. and other subsidiaries.
